Google made it official that it has acquired ReCaptcha, which specialises in preventing web fraud. Captcha is the best way to tell humans and computers apart. It generates tests that PC programs cannot pass and only humans can crack. Here below is one instance:

Captcha has several practical applications like preventing Spammy comments in blogs, dictionary attacks on passwords, preventing email worms, search engine bots from indexing, etc.

ReCaptcha, a spinoff of the Carnegie Mellon University creates generates a software that embeds distorted text on web pages during the sign-in process. This prevents computers from automatically setting up bogus accounts by being very tough to scan & interpret without human interference.

GOOGLE RELEASES DOUBLE CLICK IN NEW AVATAR!
Couple of minutes ago, Google took the covers off the revamped version of Double Click Ad Network that is fueled by Google’s in house technology. As a public exchange Double Click makes it possible for publishers to provide excess ad inventory they can't sell to advertisers looking for a bargain.

Google's vice President of product management, Neal Mohan remarked in a statement, "Better technology can help make display advertising work better for all involved." He further added “We're focused on growing the display advertising pie for everyone. The DoubleClick Ad Exchange is a major part of that goal."

Google had acquired Double Click at a cost of $3.1 dollars last year to expand its presence in the huge market of graphic advertising, largely dominated by Yahoo. The new avatar of Double Click would include Google's AdSense and AdWords programs, along with feature real-time bidding & a new API designed for ad networks.
