The whole world is just beginning to learn about the Yahoo-Microsoft deal.

Long after the talks and negotiations of Google taking over Yahoo were silenced, another significant event rose this week on the horizon and the graffiti is MicroHoo. Yahoo as per the deal would sell search ads on its sites and on Microsoft’s Bing, however, it would be powered by Microsoft’s search technology. This alliance has brought together the two biggest international search engine allies and both the companies are quite relieved.

Though, it is difficult to say that Google monopoly would be a totally diluted by this partnership, yet one can see this deal as creating a platform for competition. Together the Yasoft venture would have 30 per cent of search market share with Google trailing almost at 70 percent. The advertising world that was long looking forward to a new competitor to Google has really been buoyed up by this strong partnership of two giants. It’s scary but very true! A hacker can actually break into your Apple phone and commit identity theft and related crimes.

The recent Black Hat conference at Los Angeles became the venue to uncover this big security flaw in Apple’s smart phone that has becomes such a rage amongst users. Security experts revealed that hackers can actually throw the victim off the carrier’s network and hapless users are held from making any calls or exchanging messages.

"Apple's credibility and reputation could get hurt if they don't respond. Positive buzz is good; negative buzz is much more harmful," said Trip Chowdhry, an analyst with Global Equities Research. Experts in a test hacked the iPhones working on networks of some carriers in Germany along with AT&T Inc in America. Another interesting twist to this security threat is that even the snag was found in Google’s Android based phone; however, Google was quick to patch the flaw.

The world waited in suspense as it learned about security snag in the latest Computrace software manufacture by Vancouver-based Absolute Software Corp. This software is used to locate lost or stolen computers. Many PC users are not aware that it's on their machines, but it's included in computers purchased from the biggest PC makers.

This software is built into the computers in the factory itself in such deep manner that even the deletion of Operating system cannot delete it. Intimidating, isn’t it.

Absolute has accepted that in order to avoid hackers from creating a security breach through its software, they would fix the issue very soon.
